A tragic jet crash in North Carolina has killed seven people, including former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife, and their two children.
The crash happened on Thursday, December 19, 2025, shortly after the small business jet took off.
What Happened
The plane took off from Statesville Airport, which is located north of the city of Charlotte. Soon after taking off, the jet faced trouble and turned back to land.
Before it could land safely, the aircraft crashed. All seven people on board died in the accident.
Local officials confirmed that no one survived the crash.
Greg Biffle and Family Among the Dead
Among those killed was Greg Biffle, a retired American NASCAR racing driver.
Also killed were his wife Cristina Grossu Biffle and their two children.
A close family friend and local lawmaker shared the news and said he was deeply hurt by the loss. He said Greg and his family were kind people who always tried to help others.

Authorities Confirm Details
The county sheriff said there were seven people on the plane, and all of them died at the crash site.
