India Downs Pak Jets Destroys Terror Camps in Operation Sindoor

India Downs Pak Jets Destroys Terror Camps in Operation Sindoor

Post by : Raman

India’s Air Chief Marshal AP Singh has confirmed that the Indian Air Force dealt a major blow to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, a military response launched after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that killed 26 civilians. Speaking in New Delhi, the Air Force chief revealed that Indian forces successfully targeted and destroyed several key Pakistani assets, including fighter jets, radar systems, and terror bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

According to the Air Force, India shot down four to five Pakistani fighter jets, including US-made F-16s and Chinese-built JF-17s, during intense aerial strikes. In addition, evidence shows India destroyed a large aircraft, possibly an AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control) plane, in what is described as one of the longest surface-to-air kills ever recorded at over 300 km. The chief also said precision missile strikes hit Pakistan’s radar systems, Command & Control centres, runways, and hangars, crippling its military infrastructure.

The Air Force also suggested that an American-made C-130 Hercules military transport plane might have been hit. In total, India struck multiple Pakistani air bases, including those in Jacobabad and Bholari, destroying grounded aircraft and damaging facilities. These strikes, combined with India’s strong air defence systems, forced Pakistan to realise that further conflict would lead to greater losses.

India also targeted and neutralised nine terror camps and bases, including facilities linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, both groups long associated with cross-border terrorism. These precision operations were a direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which India blamed on Pakistan-backed militants.

The Air Force chief dismissed Pakistan’s counterclaims that it had shot down Indian planes, including a Rafale, calling them propaganda aimed at misleading its own citizens. Despite repeated claims, Pakistan has not presented proof of its allegations.

The chief underlined that it was Pakistan that requested a ceasefire, not due to international pressure but because of the heavy damage caused by India’s strikes. This directly contradicts former US President Donald Trump’s repeated statements that he personally intervened to stop the conflict. The Indian government has consistently maintained that no foreign mediation was involved, and the ceasefire was a result of Pakistan seeking peace.

Operation Sindoor, which lasted nearly 100 hours, showed India’s ability to conduct large-scale precision strikes while defending against missile and drone attacks from across the border. Advanced air defence systems like the Russian-made S-400 played a key role in protecting Indian territory.

With this operation, India not only sent a clear message to Pakistan but also showcased its military strength to the world. The Air Force chief said the success of Operation Sindoor demonstrated that India could defend its citizens and strike deep into enemy territory when provoked.

This marks one of the most significant military operations in recent years, highlighting India’s offensive and defensive capabilities, as well as its determination to combat terrorism sponsored from across the border.
