An Indian expat living in Abu Dhabi has created history by winning the UAE Lottery’s first-ever Dh100 million jackpot, marking the biggest lottery prize ever awarded in the UAE. The winner, 29-year-old Anilkumar Bolla Madhavrao Bolla from South India, was officially revealed in a video released by The UAE Lottery, sparking celebration and disbelief across the nation.
The draw took place on October 18 during the 23rd Lucky Day event, where Anilkumar’s ticket emerged victorious among odds of more than 1 in 8.8 million. This record-breaking UAE Lottery jackpot has quickly become a trending story, capturing hearts across the UAE and India as people celebrate his extraordinary stroke of luck.
Anilkumar, who has been living in the UAE for just one and a half years, shared his disbelief and joy in an emotional video. “I was in shock. I was sitting on the sofa, trying to believe that I actually won it,” he said. The UAE Lottery congratulated him with a post on X that read, “From anticipation to celebration, this is the reveal that changed everything! Anilkumar Bolla takes home AED 100 Million!”
When asked how he chose his winning ticket, Anilkumar said he used the Easy Pick option, which automatically selects numbers. He then chose the number 11 from the “Months set” as a tribute to his mother’s birthday. “I haven’t done any magic. The last number is very special—it’s my mum’s birthday,” he said. He had purchased 12 tickets in one transaction before the draw, and one of them turned out to be the lucky one.
After winning the Dh100 million UAE Lottery jackpot, Anilkumar said he plans to invest and use the money wisely. “I was just thinking about how I need to invest this amount and spend it in the right way,” he said. “Now that I have money, I want to work on my thoughts in the right direction and do something big.”
Among his dreams are buying a supercar, relocating his family to the UAE, and celebrating the win at a luxury resort. His biggest goal, however, is to fulfil the dreams of his parents. “My mum and dad had very small dreams, and I want to make them come true. I want to take care of them,” he shared.
Anilkumar also revealed his wish to donate part of his winnings to charity, saying, “I believe that donation will reach the people who really need it.” He added that he is deeply thankful to The UAE Lottery for this life-changing opportunity. “I really want to thank The UAE Lottery because you have given me a very big opportunity, and I hope this continues for years,” he said.
In his message to others, Anilkumar encouraged all lottery players to never give up. “I believe everything happens for a reason. Keep playing, and one day, luck will come to you,” he said with a smile.
Anilkumar’s story of winning the Dh100 million UAE Lottery jackpot has touched millions, reminding everyone that dreams can come true when faith, timing, and luck align. His remarkable win stands as a symbol of hope and possibility for countless people across the UAE and beyond.
