Israeli Airstrikes Kill 17 Civilians in Gaza Including Women and Children

Israeli Airstrikes Kill 17 Civilians in Gaza Including Women and Children

Post by : Rameen Ariff

At least 17 Palestinian civilians were killed early today as Israeli airstrikes struck multiple areas across the Gaza Strip, leaving communities devastated and families in shock. Among the victims was a mother and her six children, who died when their home in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, was destroyed, highlighting the severe toll on women and children in the conflict.

Hospitals in Gaza reported receiving seven fatalities, including a child, along with ten injured individuals, after airstrikes targeted gatherings of civilians near an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza. In addition, three bodies were recovered near Palestine Stadium, west of Gaza City, where homes, streets, and public infrastructure were damaged, spreading fear among local residents.

In Al-Zawayda, central Gaza, a tent housing displaced families was bombed, showing the constant danger faced by those living in temporary shelters. At Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, a child died due to malnutrition and lack of access to medical treatment, conditions worsened by the ongoing airstrikes. In the Netzarim area, a young resident was shot in the eye by a sniper and later died at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, reflecting the persistent risks civilians face even while moving through their neighborhoods.

Medical staff at Al-Awda and Al-Aqsa hospitals continue to struggle to provide care amid the increasing number of casualties, while resources remain limited due to ongoing bombardments. The local community is in mourning as families grieve lost loved ones and neighborhoods lie in ruins. Humanitarian organizations have emphasized the urgent need for safe corridors, medical aid, and civilian protection in the conflict zones.

The repeated Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in significant civilian casualties, including women and children, while displaced families face ongoing threats to their safety and wellbeing. Rescue operations continue, medical facilities remain under extreme pressure, and international calls for immediate humanitarian assistance grow louder as the situation remains critical.
