The Jared Isaacman NASA chief appointment has now been officially confirmed. The United States Senate has approved billionaire space traveller Jared Isaacman as the new head of NASA. He will now lead the country’s space agency under President Donald Trump.

The US Senate voted to confirm Jared Isaacman as NASA new administrator. The vote result was 67 in favour and 30 against, showing strong support for his appointment.

With this vote, Isaacman becomes the 15th leader of NASA. He replaces the acting chief and will now take full control of the space agency.

The Senate vote took place on December 18, 2025, and the decision was announced the same day.

This vote came two weeks after Isaacman appeared before senators for his second hearing, where he spoke about his plans for NASA.
