A serious multi-vehicle accident was caught on camera near Lakshmipura Gate on National Highway 648 in Karnataka's Bengaluru Rural district. The incident occurred on the busy Doddaballapura-Devanahalli stretch, drawing immediate attention from commuters and local authorities.
Lorry Reportedly Lost Control
According to preliminary information, a lorry travelling from Doddaballapura towards Devanahalli allegedly lost control while moving along the highway. The heavy vehicle first crashed into a tractor that was travelling ahead in the same direction.
Impact Led to Second Collision
Following the initial collision, the lorry reportedly crossed onto the opposite carriageway. It then crashed into a Bolero vehicle that was approaching from the other side of the road, turning the incident into a major three-vehicle accident.
Drivers Sustain Injuries
The drivers of all three vehicles suffered injuries in the crash. Fortunately, all of them survived the incident, narrowly escaping what could have turned into a fatal accident due to the force of the collisions.
Traffic Disrupted on NH-648
The accident temporarily affected traffic movement on the highway as damaged vehicles blocked parts of the road. Local residents and motorists gathered at the scene before emergency responders and police arrived to manage the situation.
Police Begin Investigation
Police officials reached the spot soon after receiving information about the accident. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash and whether speeding, mechanical failure or driver error played a role.
Probe Continues
Investigators are examining available evidence, including CCTV and video footage of the incident. Officials said further details will emerge after the completion of the investigation.
