KRK Arrested in Mumbai Firing Case, Admits Using Licensed Gun

KRK Arrested in Mumbai Firing Case, Admits Using Licensed Gun

Post by : Meena Ariff

Actor Kamaal Rashid Khan, popularly known as KRK, has been arrested by Mumbai police in connection with a recent firing incident that took place in Oshiwara, Andheri. The actor has been identified as the prime suspect in this case.

KRK was taken into custody by Oshiwara police and brought to the local police station late on Friday evening. According to officials, the actor admitted to firing shots during his statement, confirming that he used his licensed firearm. The weapon has been seized by authorities, and all necessary legal documentation is being processed as part of the ongoing investigation.

The incident occurred on January 18, when two bullets were fired at a residential building in Nalanda Society, Oshiwara. One of the flats hit belongs to a writer-director, while another is occupied by a model. Investigators recovered two bullets—one from the second floor and another from the fourth floor of the building.

An 18-member team from the Oshiwara police, led by officer Sanjay Chavan, worked in coordination with multiple units from the crime branch to investigate the case. Police initially faced difficulties as CCTV footage from the area did not reveal any suspicious activity. However, forensic analysis later suggested that the bullets were likely fired from KRK’s bungalow.

Police sources stated that formal arrest procedures for KRK are currently underway and could be finalized by the morning. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities carefully reviewing all evidence to determine the next course of action.

The incident has drawn considerable public attention, raising concerns about safety and the potential misuse of firearms in residential neighborhoods. Authorities have emphasized that strict action will be taken once all legal processes are completed.
