The Kyrgyz Republic marked a significant milestone in its international economic outreach by unveiling its first-ever national stand at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2026. The initiative reflects the country's growing ambition to strengthen global partnerships and attract new investment opportunities.
The official opening ceremony was attended by Daniyar Amangeldiev, who described the participation as an important step in advancing Kyrgyzstan’s economic diplomacy. He noted that the presence of a national stand at one of the world's leading economic forums demonstrates the country's commitment to international cooperation and sustainable development.
Speaking during the event, Amangeldiev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is actively working to expand its global economic engagement and create favorable conditions for foreign investors. He said the national stand serves as a platform to showcase the country’s economic achievements, investment opportunities, and readiness to cooperate on major international projects.
The exhibition space has been designed to highlight the dynamic transformation of Kyrgyzstan’s economy and its strategic development priorities. Visitors can explore information related to key sectors that are driving the country's growth and modernization efforts. Government representatives hope the presentation will strengthen investor confidence and encourage new business partnerships.
A major focus of the stand is the promotion of investment opportunities across multiple industries. Priority sectors include energy, tourism, digital technologies, industrial cooperation, and transport infrastructure. These areas are considered central to Kyrgyzstan’s long-term economic strategy and its efforts to improve regional connectivity and competitiveness.
The national stand will also function as a venue for high-level meetings, business presentations, and networking sessions between Kyrgyz and international companies. Officials expect the platform to facilitate direct engagement with potential investors and create opportunities for future joint ventures and development projects.
Kyrgyz authorities view their debut participation with a national stand at SPIEF as a symbol of the country's increasing role in international economic dialogue. The event provides an opportunity to promote Kyrgyzstan’s business environment, strengthen foreign partnerships, and position the nation as an attractive destination for investment and innovation.
