Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral economic relations following a high-level meeting between First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev and UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zayudi in Astana.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation across several strategic sectors, including trade, investment, energy, agriculture, logistics, tourism, digital transformation, and infrastructure development. Both sides highlighted the growing importance of economic partnerships in supporting sustainable growth and regional connectivity.
Officials discussed opportunities to increase trade volumes and encourage greater investment flows between the two countries. The talks also explored ways to create favorable conditions for businesses and investors seeking to participate in emerging economic projects and cross-border development initiatives.
A key area of discussion was the implementation of joint projects that could contribute to long-term economic diversification. Energy development, agricultural modernization, tourism promotion, and digital economy initiatives were identified as promising sectors for future collaboration between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE.
Particular attention was given to the new opportunities created through cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Both parties noted that the Economic Partnership Agreement between the EAEU and the UAE could open new channels for trade, investment, and market access for businesses across the region.
The officials also emphasized the significance of the upcoming third meeting of the Kyrgyz-Emirati Joint Intergovernmental Commission. The platform is expected to help identify concrete projects and establish practical mechanisms for implementing future bilateral initiatives.
During the discussions, the Kyrgyz side reaffirmed its readiness to deepen relations with the United Arab Emirates and expand cooperation in areas that deliver mutual economic benefits. The government emphasized its commitment to creating a stable and attractive environment for foreign investors and strategic partners.
The meeting reflects the growing momentum in Kyrgyz-UAE relations as both countries seek to strengthen economic diplomacy, promote investment partnerships, and unlock new opportunities for business cooperation in an increasingly interconnected global economy.
