Malaysia's long-awaited LRT3 Shah Alam Line has been fully completed and is ready to begin passenger services. The 37.8-kilometre rail line stretches from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia and is expected to significantly improve public transportation across the Klang Valley.
Official Launch Scheduled
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officially launch the new rail line during a ceremony on June 28. Officials said the Prime Minister will also announce the official commercial opening date and operating schedule for the new service.
Twenty New Stations Added
The LRT3 network introduces 20 new stations, including Bandar Utama, Kayu Ara, Glenmarie 2, Stadium Shah Alam, UiTM Shah Alam, Bandar Baru Klang, Pasar Klang, Bandar Bukit Tinggi and Johan Setia. The new corridor is expected to serve nearly two million residents living along the route.
Better Connectivity Across Klang Valley
Passengers will enjoy seamless transfers to the Kajang Line at Bandar Utama and the Kelana Jaya Line at Glenmarie 2. The integration is expected to shorten travel times and provide smoother connections across Malaysia's urban rail network.
Feeder Buses and Parking Facilities
The project is supported by 40 feeder buses operating on 13 routes with more than 320 bus stops. Rapid On-Demand van services will also operate across 20 zones. Park-and-ride facilities offering around 2,300 parking spaces have been provided at several key stations for commuters.
