Malaysia Health Ministry Website Hacked, Probe Underway

Post by : Shakul

Malaysia's Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed that its official website was hacked after an unauthorized message appeared on the government portal. Following the cyberattack, the website was taken offline while technical teams began recovery efforts and launched an investigation into the incident.

Investigation and Restoration in Progress

The ministry said a detailed investigation is underway to determine how the security breach occurred. Officials are working with relevant government agencies to restore the website safely while strengthening cybersecurity measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Public Asked to Avoid the Website

Authorities have advised Malaysians not to access the official MOH website until further notice. The ministry also warned people not to click suspicious links or download any files from the affected website while the investigation continues.

Verified Platforms Remain Active

To ensure uninterrupted access to health information, the ministry urged the public to rely only on its verified social media accounts and other official government communication channels. Health-related announcements will continue to be shared through these trusted platforms.

Data Security Remains a Priority

The Health Ministry stressed that protecting public data and maintaining essential government services remain its highest priorities. Officials said additional safeguards are being implemented as part of ongoing recovery efforts.

Authorities Continue Cybersecurity Review

Cybersecurity experts are examining the attack to identify its source and assess any potential impact on government systems. The ministry apologized for the inconvenience caused and pledged to provide updates as restoration work progresses.
