The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning for thunderstorms, heavy rainfall and strong winds across nine states, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. The advisory remains in effect until 6 pm as unstable weather conditions continue across the country.
The warning covers Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Selangor, along with Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. Several districts in each state are expected to experience periods of heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds.
In East Malaysia, multiple districts in Sarawak including Kuching, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang are under the same weather advisory. Parts of Sabah including the Interior, West Coast and Sandakan divisions have also been placed on alert.

Residents have been advised to remain alert for possible flash floods, falling trees and hazardous road conditions during periods of intense rainfall. Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully and monitor official weather updates before travelling.
The expected thunderstorms could affect road traffic, outdoor events and local transportation services in several affected areas. People living in flood-prone locations are advised to prepare for possible water accumulation if heavy rain continues.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department continues to monitor weather conditions and may issue additional advisories if necessary. Residents are encouraged to stay informed through official forecasts and follow instructions from local authorities during severe weather.
