Traffic congestion is intensifying along critical commuter roads connecting Dubai and Sharjah, with slow-moving vehicles noted on both highways and city roads, as per Google Maps traffic insights.
On Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), traffic snarls are occurring in areas like Business Bay and Al Barsha as the morning rush picks up.
Al Khail Road (E44) is also experiencing sluggish conditions between Meydan and Ras Al Khor, with several accidents leading to extended travel durations.
Congestion is spilling over to key connecting routes, such as Hessa Street (D61) and Umm Suqeim Street (D63), where drivers face stop-and-go conditions on various segments.
For those traveling to Sharjah, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) is showing traffic buildup near Dubai South, especially around Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai Production City. Traffic is notably heavy through Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) as well.
Meanwhile, Emirates Road (E611) remains largely clear, though pockets of slower traffic are reported between Athaib and Al Khawaneej heading into Dubai. Multiple accidents have been logged on this route as well.
Officials advise drivers to account for additional travel time, keep safe distances, and explore alternative paths, as morning traffic continues to swell in Dubai.
