Post by : Rameen Ariff

Marathi actor Sachin Chandwade, who gained recognition for his role in the Netflix series Jamtara 2, has reportedly died by suicide at the age of 25, leaving the film community and fans in shock. The actor, who had been promoting his upcoming Marathi film Asurvan, was found hanging at his home in Parola, Jalgaon district.

Sources say Chandwade was discovered by family members on October 23 and initially taken to a nearby hospital. He was later moved to Dhule for further treatment, but doctors pronounced him dead at about 1:30 AM on October 24. Parola police have registered an accidental death case, and investigators are continuing inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Chandwade balanced his acting career with a position as a software engineer at an IT Park in Pune. Colleagues and friends remember him for his humility, commitment and on-screen authenticity. News of his death has prompted an outpouring of tributes across both Marathi and Hindi entertainment circles.

Only days before his death, Chandwade shared the motion poster for Asurvan on Instagram, signalling his excitement about the project. The film, directed by Sachin Ramchandra Ambat, also features Pooja Moily and Anuj Thakare in prominent roles.

His sudden passing has once again focused attention on mental health issues within the entertainment industry, highlighting that public success can mask private struggles for many young artists.

As condolences continue to arrive from peers and fans, many are remembering Sachin Chandwade as a promising talent whose career and life ended far too soon.
