Thailand Launches Nihao Month to Attract Chinese Tourists 2025

Thailand Launches Nihao Month to Attract Chinese Tourists 2025

Post by : Raman

Thailand’s Tourism Authority (TAT) has launched the “Nihao Month” campaign to welcome Chinese tourists, the country’s largest source of visitors, during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Golden Week holidays.

The campaign aims to connect Chinese traditions with Thailand’s culture and lifestyle. It includes digital promotions, cultural events, influencer campaigns, and special travel experiences to highlight the country’s charm and hospitality.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said the campaign celebrates 50 years of diplomatic ties between Thailand and China and reflects friendship between the two nations.

As part of the initiative, TAT introduced the Trusted Thailand Stamp, a certification to ensure safety and quality for travelers. This is intended to boost confidence and promote Thailand as a safe and attractive destination for Chinese tourists.

The campaign’s cultural highlight is a Mid-Autumn Festival event in Bangkok on October 6, featuring mooncake-making, lantern-crafting workshops, and performances by popular Thai actors.

To increase bookings and spending during the year-end peak season, TAT has partnered with China’s leading travel and lifestyle platforms. Chinese tourists can also enjoy special shopping discounts and benefits at major retailers across Thailand by showing their passports.

By combining tradition, culture, creativity, and quality standards, TAT hopes to position Thailand as the top destination for Chinese travelers, encouraging repeat visits and sharing of positive experiences on social media.
