Vietnam's General Secretary and President To Lam addressed the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hanoi, where he encouraged young people to become the driving force behind the country's future development. He said Vietnam's youth should prepare themselves with knowledge, innovation and responsibility to meet future challenges.

Focus on Education and Digital Skills

During his speech, To Lam highlighted the importance of lifelong learning, digital transformation, science and technology. He encouraged young people to improve their digital skills, learn foreign languages and take advantage of opportunities in artificial intelligence, innovation and the digital economy.

He said youth movements should create practical benefits for society and support the country's long-term growth.

Strengthening the Youth Union

To Lam stressed that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union should continue improving its work by staying connected with young people and adapting to changing social needs. He said the organisation should help develop future leaders and encourage more young people to contribute to national progress.

Government Calls for Greater Support

The President urged government agencies, schools, families and social organisations to work together in supporting youth development. He said creating better opportunities for education, employment, entrepreneurship and personal growth would help young people reach their full potential.

Concluding his address, To Lam expressed confidence that Vietnam's younger generation would continue contributing to the country's modernization. He encouraged every young Vietnamese citizen to study hard, work honestly, innovate confidently and play an active role in building a stronger and more prosperous Vietnam.
