According to an internal communication, the region has effectively become an “Apocalyptic Wasteland,” facing extreme shortages of essential food and medical supplies.
This alarming warning follows nearly three months after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks and the ensuing military operation in the Gaza Strip. The conflict caused widespread destruction across the region, with Northern Gaza experiencing significant devastation.
The communication draws on firsthand observations made by international staff who recently visited the area, describing scenes of widespread ruin, with neighborhoods flattened and critical infrastructure—including hospitals, water systems, and food distribution networks—heavily damaged or non-functional.

Officials emphasize that without immediate and enhanced humanitarian assistance, the crisis could worsen dramatically, risking a catastrophic impact on civilian lives and regional stability. The urgent warning calls for swift action to address shortages and for intensified international cooperation to ensure aid reaches those in desperate need.
This communication highlights the critical and urgent nature of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and urges policymakers and international partners to step up efforts to relieve suffering and help rebuild essential services in the affected areas.
