Huge Fire Breaks Out at Jiung Market in Jakarta, Several Injured

Post by : Shakul

Drone footage from Jakarta has captured a massive fire engulfing Jiung Market, one of the densely populated commercial areas in Indonesia’s capital city, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky.

According to state media reports, at least three people have been injured in the blaze as emergency response teams rushed to the scene to control the spreading flames and evacuate nearby areas.

The fire rapidly spread through parts of the market, which is known for its crowded stalls and high daily foot traffic, raising concerns over safety in densely packed urban commercial zones.

Firefighters deployed multiple units to contain the blaze, while police and disaster management teams cordoned off the surrounding area to prevent further casualties and ensure public safety.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, with initial reports not yet confirming whether it was triggered by an electrical fault or another source.

Visuals from the site show intense flames and heavy smoke rising above the market, with emergency crews working continuously to bring the situation under control.

Officials have urged residents and business owners in the area to remain cautious as cleanup and investigation efforts continue.
