Iran Launches Hypersonic Missiles Toward Tel Aviv Explosions Rock Central Israel

Post by : Shakul

Iran has reportedly launched a new wave of missile attacks targeting central Israel, including the city of Tel Aviv, marking a major escalation in the ongoing regional conflict. Air-raid sirens were heard across several Israeli cities as explosions and interception attempts were reported in the skies above the metropolitan area. Emergency services were deployed to assess damage and assist residents after the strikes.

According to regional media and Iranian military statements, the strikes may have involved the Fattah-2 hypersonic missile, a next-generation weapon developed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The missile, unveiled in 2023, is designed with a hypersonic glide vehicle capable of maneuvering at extremely high speeds — reportedly up to Mach 13–15 — making interception by conventional missile defense systems significantly more difficult.

The attack is believed to be part of a retaliatory campaign following recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian military facilities and strategic sites. The broader conflict has expanded across multiple countries in the region, with missile and drone attacks reported against Israeli territory and U.S. positions in the Gulf.

Israeli defense systems, including the Iron Dome and Arrow interceptors, were activated during the strike. While many incoming missiles were reportedly intercepted, some explosions and fires were seen in and around central Israel. Authorities urged civilians to remain near shelters while emergency crews worked in affected areas.

Military analysts say the introduction of hypersonic weapons could significantly change the dynamics of the conflict. These missiles travel at extremely high speeds and can maneuver during flight, making them far harder to detect and intercept compared with traditional ballistic missiles. If confirmed, the deployment of such weapons could mark a new phase in the Iran-Israel confrontation.

The escalating exchange of missile strikes has intensified fears of a wider regional war involving multiple Middle Eastern countries and global powers. Diplomatic efforts by international organizations continue as governments worldwide call for de-escalation and restraint.
