A dramatic protest erupted outside the Iranian Embassy in London’s Kensington district as a demonstrator climbed the embassy balcony and tore down the official Iranian flag. In a symbolic gesture, the protester briefly hoisted the historic pre-1979 “Lion and Sun” flag, widely used by anti-regime groups and supporters of pro-democracy movements.
