Typhoon Noul has battered southern China with powerful winds and heavy rain, forcing more than 715,000 people to evacuate in Guangdong. In Hong Kong, strong winds brought down large scaffolding from a high-rise building, while hundreds of flights were cancelled. No injuries were reported in the scaffolding collapse.
