A breathtaking aerial video of a Vande Bharat Express travelling through the mist-covered Western Ghats in Karnataka has attracted massive attention online, reportedly crossing 15 million views on Instagram.

Train Captured During Trial Run

The footage was recorded during a recent trial run on the challenging Sakleshpur–Subrahmanya Road ghat section, which forms part of the Bengaluru–Mangaluru railway route. Surrounded by dense forests, steep slopes and monsoon mist, the orange-and-white train created a striking visual as it moved through the hills. Many viewers compared the train’s appearance to an “orange snake” winding through the green landscape.

The railway section is known for its difficult terrain and includes 57 tunnels, 258 bridges and 108 sharp curves. It also features steep gradients, making train operations particularly challenging during the monsoon season.
