At the Liwa International Festival 2026, the Al Dhafra Youth Council has proudly introduced the Youth Imprint initiative. This program is driven by youth to underscore the crucial involvement of young people and youth councils in promoting national events and benefiting their communities.
By executing meaningful projects that integrate social, cultural, and sports elements, the initiative encourages vibrant youth participation during the festival. It serves as a collaborative platform linking youth initiatives with partner organizations, crafting unique experiences that showcase young talents and empower them.
Youth Imprint stands as the first thorough incorporation of youth councils into the framework of the Liwa International Festival, highlighting the increasing significance of engaged youth in supporting major national events and amplifying community impact.
In collaboration with over 15 partners from governmental, ministerial, and private sectors, alongside youth councils, this initiative seeks to uplift youth participation in community affairs, engaging more than 600 young individuals and community members across the UAE.
The Council coordinated eight varied activities throughout the festival, including dialogue sessions, workshops, youth circles, cinema festivals, community activations, and sports events designed to nurture essential skills, leadership abilities, and provide platforms for open dialogue among young attendees.
A standout feature of the initiative was the inaugural Tebah Challenge and a Padel Tournament specifically for Youth Councils, aimed at promoting collaboration and healthy competition among youth councils nationwide.
Various youth circles addressed significant social themes like "From the Year of Community to the Year of Family" and "Youth Challenges on Awareness and Responsibility," broadening young people's understanding of their contributions to social ties and community values.
Additionally, the Council launched the Knots of Liwa activation in partnership with The Knot, featuring a family- and youth-centric event that included a communal art project inspired by traditional Emirati craftsmanship, symbolizing Liwa's spirit and reinforcing national identity.
The Community Dialogue initiative, titled Dalma of the Future: Innovative Solutions for Community Empowerment, delved into development challenges faced in remote regions while presenting innovative concepts for enhancing community welfare.
The Al Dhafra Youth Council emphasized that its broad partnerships across various sectors significantly augmented the program’s effectiveness, showcasing integrated efforts to empower youth and align with the UAE’s national development objectives.
Youth Imprint is part of the Council’s continuous initiatives aligned with the UAE’s vision to invest in young people, bolster their active roles in community betterment, and enhance their participation in key national events, particularly in the Al Dhafra region.
