Abu Dhabi has officially launched its inaugural Autonomous Week, a significant event underlining the emirate's commitment to advancing smart and autonomous mobility. This week-long event, taking place from November 10 to 15, 2025, gathers international thought leaders, policy specialists, and industry pioneers to delve into the latest advancements in autonomous technologies and intelligent transport systems.
The opening ceremony was graced by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs and Chairman of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), along with His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They together inaugurated the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Summit, a forum aimed at fostering discussions on emerging trends in mobility, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
During the summit, 13 engaging panel discussions took place, featuring over 30 experts and innovators who examined how autonomous systems are shaping the transportation landscape. The conversations highlighted the importance of converting strategic visions into actionable solutions, enhancing operational efficiency, and advancing a sustainable, knowledge-driven economy.
