Wrapping up a successful stint at the 2025 Mussanah Sailing Week, the Abu Dhabi Sailing Team achieved remarkable feats, clinching six medals in various categories. The Emirati athletes showcased their competencies, competing against over 100 participants from around the globe, accentuating the UAE's rising stature in the sailing community.

In the ILCA 4 category, Abdullah Al Zubaidi emerged victorious, taking home the gold. Meanwhile, Marwa Al Hammadi led the girls' division to a gold medal, with Al Yazia Al Hammadi following closely with silver. These accomplishments are a testament to the promising youth sailing programs in Abu Dhabi and the burgeoning talent within the Emirati ranks.

Mohammed Al Hammadi earned a silver in the ILCA 7 category, demonstrating his skills over a series of competitive races. Khalifa Al Rumaithi also made his mark by winning two bronze medals—one in the Optimist class and another in the team race, showcasing the diversity of the team across different sailing formats.

Khalifa Al Suwaidi, who oversees the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Academy, commended the team for their achievements, noting that they reflect the significant advancements made through the academy's thorough training and development initiatives aimed at honing elite Emirati sailing talent.

Moreover, Al Suwaidi pointed out that engaging in competitions such as Mussanah Sailing Week is integral to the academy's strategic goal of cultivating a new generation of Emirati sailors who are prepared for global challenges. Exposure to different sailing cultures and competitive settings enhances their technical proficiencies and physical capabilities.

Recognized as one of the key maritime events in the region, Mussanah Sailing Week merges competitive racing with educational and cultural initiatives, offering a thorough platform for skill enhancement and international networking. The event inspires young sailors to gain confidence and advance in their competitive journeys, while also promoting teamwork and maritime heritage.

The Abu Dhabi Sailing Team's accomplishments at Mussanah Sailing Week signify the effectiveness of the UAE's sailing development strategies. With ongoing attention to training, international participation, and strategic talent cultivation, the team is poised to sustain and elevate its competitive edge in future regional and global contests, solidifying the UAE’s role in the maritime sports landscape.
