The renowned Tollywood actress Anushka Shetty recently celebrated her 44th birthday on November 7, 2025. Famous for her roles in blockbuster films like Baahubali and Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, she attributes her youthful appearance and fitness to her long-standing practice of yoga. Anushka has publicly stated that yoga has had a profound impact on her health and wellness.

Beyond just stretching and relaxation, yoga serves as an excellent support system for weight management. According to Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, founder of Akshar Yoga Kendraa, various yoga poses, known as asanas, can enhance metabolism, strengthen muscles, and aid in digestion. Chaturanga Dandasana (Plank Pose):

Virabhadrasana (Warrior Pose):
The Warrior series (I, II, III) strengthens the legs and core. Enhanced muscle development from these postures elevates your resting metabolism, facilitating calorie burning even when at rest.

Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose):
A backbend that engages the abdomen and enhances digestion. It fortifies back muscles, supports posture, and improves metabolic function.

Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog Pose):
An inversion pose that strengthens your arms, shoulders, legs, and core. It enhances blood circulation and helps eliminate toxins from the body, supporting weight control.

Navasana (Boat Pose):
A core-centric pose that tones abdominal muscles and improves posture, ensuring your metabolism operates effectively all day long.

Halasana (Plow Pose):
