This year, the G20 Summit invites the UAE at the request of Cyril Ramaphosa, South Africa's President. This invitation underscores the robust relationship between the UAE and South Africa, alongside the international acknowledgment of the UAE's proactive engagement with pressing global challenges. This summit gathers the world’s largest economies to deliberate on crucial economic, social, and environmental issues impacting global citizens.

Sheikh Khaled is joined by a distinguished UAE delegation that features key ministers and senior officials, including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment. Other notable attendees include Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and the Crown Prince's Office Chair. This year’s summit holds significant meaning, as it's the first time it is being held in Africa, spotlighting the continent's rising prominence in the global economy and the pressing need for inclusive growth.
