Renowned singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh made a memorable entry on the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 17, hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. The Punjabi artist captivated the audience with his charismatic performance of his much-loved song Main Hoon Punjab, while also sharing an unforgettable interaction with Bachchan.

An Instagram post from Team Dosanjh showcased highlights from this special appearance. In the video, Amitabh affectionately referred to Diljit as "Punjab da puttar" (son of Punjab), offering a warm introduction with the words, “Punjab de puttar Diljit Dosanjh ka main hardik abhinandan karta hoon” (I wholeheartedly welcome Punjab’s son Diljit Dosanjh). In a touching moment, Diljit bowed in respect to Amitabh, who responded with a warm embrace, making it an emotional experience for fans.

Viewers have reacted positively to Diljit’s KBC appearance across social media. Many expressed their admiration for the singer, emphasizing his role in elevating Punjabi talent on a global stage. One fan remarked, “This crossover episode is just what we needed,” while another stated, “Let’s honor the man who has put Punjabi culture on the global map.” Numerous users expressed their pride in Diljit’s accomplishments, proclaiming, “@diljitdosanjh, you have made us proud internationally. Following his appearance, Diljit shared his reflections on X (formerly Twitter), responding to a fan’s inquiry about his experience on the show. He mentioned, “It's for (Punjab) flood 🙏,” showcasing his excitement and proud connection to his roots.

In addition to his recent television appearances, Diljit Dosanjh is immersed in various projects. He collaborated with actress Sanya Malhotra for their music video Charmer, and partnered with former Miss World Manushi Chhillar for the song Kufar, part of his album Aura. He will also star alongside Bollywood icons Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan in the upcoming film Border 2, showcasing his diverse talent across music and cinema.

Moreover, Diljit is currently on a global tour titled AURA. Following successful concerts in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, he is gearing up for shows in Australia, with planned performances in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. The tour will wrap up with a grand finale in Auckland and a concluding show in Bangkok on December 7, 2025. Fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating his live performances, reflecting his growing international presence.
