In a significant development, Dubai International Chamber has inaugurated a new office in Karachi, reinforcing economic relations between Dubai and Pakistan. This opening is part of the ‘Dubai Global’ initiative, which targets the launch of 50 international offices by 2030 to bolster the emirate’s influence in global trade.
The inauguration event, attended by officials from the UAE Consulate and members of Pakistan’s business sector, underscores the importance of deepening bilateral ties as engagement between the two nations intensifies. Notably, Dubai's non-oil trade with Pakistan hit AED 22.8 billion in 2024, indicating robust commercial exchanges.
This growth is further reflected in the participation of businesses: from early 2022 to Q3 2025, the number of Pakistani firms registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce surged by 161%, reaching a total of 33,110. In the initial nine months of 2025 alone, over 6,800 new Pakistani businesses became members of the chamber.
The newly opened office in Karachi aims to facilitate this burgeoning activity by assisting businesses in exploring opportunities across both markets. It will supply Pakistani enterprises with vital market intelligence, advice on setting up shop in Dubai, and connections to the emirate’s growing network of public and private sector collaborators. The office’s functions include highlighting Dubai’s favorable business landscape and enabling seamless entry for firms aiming for regional or global growth.
For those Dubai-based businesses considering ventures in Pakistan, the office will provide insights on local sectors, reveal emerging investment opportunities, and support the establishment of reliable partnerships to foster successful market entry.
As business relations strengthen and company registrations soar, this new office is poised to significantly contribute to long-term trade development between Dubai and Pakistan.
