During a recent official visit to Hungary, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Illés Boglárka, State Secretary for Bilateral Relations at Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in Budapest.
Dr. Al Nuaimi underscored the enduring friendship between the UAE and Hungary. He stated that this official visit, led by FNC Speaker Saqr Ghobash, is vital for enhancing parliamentary relations and furthering collaborations between the two nations.
The FNC delegation and Hungary’s National Assembly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster cooperation and mutual understanding. Both parties issued a joint statement reiterating their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. They emphasized the importance of productive dialogue, highlighting parliamentary diplomacy's role in promoting peace and sustainable development.
Dr. Al Nuaimi elaborated on the UAE’s efforts to promote tolerance and coexistence. He noted the significance of the Abraham Accords in fostering regional peace and highlighted the UAE’s humanitarian initiatives. He also addressed the country's vital role in enhancing both regional and global security.
Illés Boglárka commended the solid partnership between Hungary and the UAE, expressing interest in further developing ties across various sectors. She emphasized that official visits and the signing of bilateral agreements are critical for expanding cooperation and achieving common objectives.
Both leaders recognized parliamentary dialogue as essential for fostering understanding and collaboration between nations. Through joint initiatives and regular exchanges, the UAE and Hungary can address issues of mutual concern while contributing to global stability and peace.
The FNC delegation’s visit promises new avenues for joint projects and partnerships, with both parties reinforcing their commitment to ongoing communication and shared values to strengthen their bond. The UAE’s emphasis on humanitarian aid, tolerance, and peace resonates with Hungary’s aim of enhancing international cooperation for sustainable development.
