Hyderabad-born Chandrashekar Pole, a 27-year-old Indian student, was tragically shot dead on the night of October 3, 2025, while working at a gas station in Dallas, Texas. The shocking incident has left his family, friends, and the Hyderabad community in deep grief.
Chandrashekar had moved to the United States in 2023 to pursue higher education after completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in Hyderabad. He successfully finished his Master’s degree in dental surgery six months ago and was actively seeking a full-time job in the US while supporting himself through part-time work at the gas station. According to reports, the identity and motive of the gunman remain unknown, and the investigation by Dallas police is ongoing.
The tragic news has prompted local leaders and politicians in Hyderabad to extend their condolences and provide support to the family. BRS MLA Sudhir Reddy, along with former minister T Harish Rao, visited the family home in Hyderabad to offer emotional support. “It is heartbreaking to witness the pain of parents who had high hopes for their son,” said Rao. He further urged the state government to take immediate action to bring Chandrashekar Pole’s body back to India for proper rites and last respects.
