Economic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Italy are entering a remarkable new phase, marked by rapid growth in trade and stronger cooperation across key sectors such as energy, technology, and sustainability.
At the 2025 edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), Italy showcased its growing partnership with the UAE—a relationship now seen as one of the most dynamic in the region. Italian exports to the UAE surged by 18 percent this year, while exports of oil and gas technologies recorded an exceptional rise of over 45 percent.
This performance underscores how the partnership has evolved beyond traditional trade into a robust framework for innovation and green transition. Italy’s industrial expertise and the UAE’s forward-looking economic strategies are aligning to create opportunities in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and low-carbon solutions.
Italy’s strong participation at ADIPEC reflected not just business interest, but also a strategic vision. The UAE’s role as a global logistics and investment hub is increasingly attracting Italian enterprises aiming to expand into fast-growing markets across Africa and Southeast Asia. The country’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) have further strengthened its appeal as a key gateway for international trade.
With both nations sharing a commitment to sustainable growth and technological advancement, their partnership continues to set new benchmarks for international cooperation. The momentum seen in 2025 signals not just a successful year for trade—but the beginning of a deeper, long-term alliance built on innovation, trust, and shared prosperity.
