The recent episode of Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s talk show, Two Much, has stirred an online frenzy following a lighthearted yet intense discussion about infidelity. Joined by Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor, the episode raised significant questions regarding love, compatibility, and ethical boundaries in contemporary relationships.
In a “This or That” segment, Twinkle posed a thought-provoking question on whether love or compatibility holds greater significance in a marriage. While Janhvi and Twinkle advocated for love, Kajol maintained that compatibility is essential for a lasting relationship. Things took a turn when the topic shifted to infidelity.
Twinkle asked: Is emotional cheating worse than physical cheating? Janhvi affirmed both are unacceptable, declaring physical infidelity as a relationship deal breaker. Twinkle, however, playfully dismissed the seriousness of the issue, noting, “Raat gayi baat gayi,” while Kajol and Karan showed signs of a more lenient view on physical betrayal.
The discussion gained traction when an old video of Deepika Padukone re-emerged, where she emphasized the complexities surrounding infidelity with her statement:
“A lot of times people make the choices that they do for various reasons…if you put yourself in the shoes of a therapist, you start looking at it very differently. This is not to say that I’m okay with it or not. There are just far too many factors involved.”
Social media was abuzz with reactions. Some users staunchly argued that cheating is never acceptable, while others noted that the pressures of a celebrity lifestyle may distort perceptions of loyalty. One user remarked, “If you respect your partner, you don’t cheat. Fame just gives them more excuses.”
As conversations around morality, forgiveness, and the distinctions between emotional and physical cheating unfold, the episode of Two Much, along with Deepika’s returned views, adds a substantial layer to the ongoing dialogue about modern relationships.
