In a splendid ceremony recently held in Abu Dhabi, the winners of the fourth edition of the Kanz Al Jeel Award were announced, celebrating a vibrant array of Arabic poetry, art, and scholarly contributions. Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the event coincided with the opening festivities of the Al Ain Book Festival 2025 at Qasr Al Muwaiji.

This prestigious award honors innovative achievements and the preservation of cultural heritage, welcoming talented individuals from across the Arab region to participate. In the Arts category, Egyptian artist Nagat Soliman earned accolades for her textile creation Tears Streamed From My Eyes, celebrated for its detailed embroidery and dyeing techniques that evoke profound reflection through intricate symbolism.

Kuwaiti poet Hamed Zaid was recognized in the Poetic Publications category for his collection Wa Abqa Jabal, which showcases a commanding voice and skillful use of rhetorical devices, balancing both succinct and expansive forms of poetry. Omani poet Ali Al Harthi received the award in the Poetry Matching category for his poignant piece Sada Al Noor, lauded for its harmonious connection with the late Sheikh Zayed's poem Li Sart Min Al Ain Saraya.

In the Studies and Research segment, Emirati writer Ali Abualreesh Al Mansoori's book Zayed: Poetic Worlds Bound by the Horizon – A Trilogy of Love, Palm, and Desert was honored. This insightful work delves into the key themes within Sheikh Zayed's poetry, emphasizing ethics, beauty, and peace while enhancing readers' appreciation of Nabati poetry's cultural depth.

The Creative Personality award celebrated Emirati poet Mohammed Rashid Al Shamsi for his prolific contributions across varied poetic styles and for revitalizing traditional Emirati performance arts like Al Razeef. His influence has profoundly impacted numerous poets and performers throughout the Emirates.

The Kanz Al Jeel Award serves as a beacon of inspiration, merging traditional heritage with contemporary artistic creativity. By honoring poetry, visual arts, and cultural scholarship, the award fortifies the link between rich traditions and modern expressions, ensuring the vibrant legacy of Nabati poetry thrives for future generations.
