Mahira Khan denies facelift rumours, blames makeup mishap

Mahira Khan denies facelift rumours, blames makeup mishap

Post by : Meena Ariff

Pakistani actor Mahira Khan has addressed recent rumors suggesting she underwent a facelift, clarifying that her changed appearance at a promotional event in Lahore was the result of a makeup mishap — not cosmetic surgery.

The actor appeared alongside Fawad Khan to promote their upcoming film Neelofar, where fans quickly noticed her slightly altered facial features. Speculation soon spread online, with many assuming Mahira had undergone a cosmetic enhancement procedure.

However, putting the rumors to rest, Mahira explained that her look was simply due to an eyebrow-lifting makeup technique gone wrong. She revealed that her makeup artist had tried to give her a “snatched look” — a popular beauty trend focused on lifted facial features and a sculpted jawline — but the result didn’t turn out as expected.

Mahira responds to facelift speculation.

After days of speculation, Mahira directly addressed the issue through a light-hearted Instagram Story video. Laughing off the claims, she said,

“I have recently come back from Lahore, and I’m hearing that people are saying I have gone through an eyebrow lift. Should I show you my eyebrow-lifting talent?”

In the video, Mahira playfully demonstrated her natural eyebrow movement, proving that her look was entirely makeup-related.

Her candid reply to online criticism

When a social media user questioned her changed look, Mahira personally responded, explaining what really happened behind the scenes. She wrote:

“Thank you for the love, but why would I do a facelift right now (not that I’m judging anyone who would or has). My makeup artist did some hair-lift things to give a ‘snatched look’ — in two parts. And it wasn’t done right. Anyhow… lesson learnt. Moving on. Lots of love.”

Her candid reply and humorous take earned praise from fans, who appreciated her honesty and down-to-earth attitude.

The ‘snatched look’ has become a viral beauty trend among celebrities and influencers. It focuses on achieving lifted eyes, sharp cheekbones, and a defined jawline — often associated with a youthful, sculpted appearance.

While some opt for cosmetic treatments to achieve the look, beauty experts emphasize that similar results can be attained through non-surgical methods like facial yoga, sculpting massages, or skin-tightening treatments.
