MOEHE Ensures Complete Readiness for Semester-End Exams

MOEHE Ensures Complete Readiness for Semester-End Exams

Post by : Maya Rahman

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has affirmed its complete readiness to initiate the end-of-semester exams for the 2025-2026 academic cycle. This announcement was made during a comprehensive coordination meeting arranged by the Student Assessment Department with principals from both public and private secondary institutions adhering to national standards. The primary objective of this meeting was to ensure every school is clear on the procedures and fully prepared for the upcoming assessments.

Ibrahim Abdullah Al Mohannadi, Director of the Student Assessment Department, presented a thorough overview during the meeting. He outlined the final preparations undertaken by the Ministry, the officially sanctioned exam timetable, and the significant guidelines that schools are required to follow. He emphasized the need for strict adherence to these instructions to guarantee a seamless examination process for students and educators alike. Preparing exam venues in advance, fostering discipline, and creating a tranquil atmosphere are critical to upholding fairness for all examinees, according to him.

He further noted that this year’s examination protocols encompass specific regulations concerning elective subjects, detailing grading techniques, the proper method for score documentation, and the importance of adhering to the official deadlines for grade submission and approval. The Ministry is committed to ensuring that all schools manage results in a transparent and systematic manner.

The meeting also reviewed essential regulations concerning examination committees, highlighting that invigilators must conduct themselves professionally while offering support to students without breaching any guidelines. A pivotal point discussed was the comprehensive prohibition on electronic devices; students will not be permitted to bring mobile phones, smartwatches, earphones, or any device that may potentially interrupt the examination environment. This regulation is intended to safeguard the integrity of the exams and establish a stable, secure assessment framework. The Ministry believes that controlling electronic usage is vital to prevent cheating and uphold full examination integrity.

At the conclusion of the session, school leaders engaged in an open dialogue, expressing their inquiries, concerns, and seeking clarification on select examination procedures. The Student Assessment Department addressed all questions and reassured schools that assistance would remain available throughout the exam period. The objective is to facilitate smooth examinations for every school while upholding the Ministry’s high educational standards.

The Ministry’s stance was unmistakable: it is dedicated to ensuring that all schools are adequately prepared, that students can access a fair testing environment, and that the examination process unfolds without complications. By providing robust guidelines, consistent communications, and meticulous instructions, the Ministry seeks to orchestrate a well-organized examination season that benefits all students. The comprehensive exam strategy reflects the Ministry’s commitment to quality education, effective organization, and ongoing enhancement of assessment methods.

With coordinated efforts between the Ministry and educational institutions, and with students guided by clear, updated regulations, the forthcoming exams are projected to proceed efficiently and professionally. This preparation underscores the Ministry’s commitment to cultivating a reliable educational framework that fosters student success.
