Mumbai Traveler Shows How to Explore Japan for Under ₹1.25 Lakh in 9 Days

Mumbai Traveler Shows How to Explore Japan for Under ₹1.25 Lakh in 9 Days

Post by : Saif Rahman

A travel enthusiast from Mumbai has proven that a trip to Japan doesn't have to break the bank. Charmy, a content creator, highlighted her 9-day adventure across Japan for a mere ₹1.25 lakh, proving that international travel can be budget-friendly with the right strategy.

In a recent Instagram post on her account, Charmy Travels, dated October 17, she expressed her disbelief that many still consider Japan too expensive to visit. She confidently stated, “For just ₹1,25,000, I completed my 9-day trip to Japan, and here's a detailed breakdown of my expenses.”

Smart Financial Planning and Choices

According to Charmy, the key to her cost-effective journey was meticulous planning and early bookings. She booked flights ahead of time and opted for budget accommodations throughout Japan, flying from Mumbai to Tokyo to Osaka and back to Tokyo, with total airfare at ₹40,600 per person.

For her stay, Charmy selected a combination of hotels and Airbnb options. In Tokyo, she booked a hotel for approximately ₹5,600 per night, while her Airbnb in Kyoto was around ₹2,500 per night, and the hotel in Osaka cost ₹3,800 per night—total accommodation costs nearing ₹35,000 per person.

Activities, Dining, and Transport

Prepaying for major activities and excursions, which added up to about ₹32,200, Charmy secured spots at popular tourist destinations, sightseeing passes, and experiences.

On food and transport, she spent roughly ₹17,000 to ₹18,000 overall. She humorously added, “My total expenses—including flights, lodging, activities, transport, and meals—came to ₹1.25 lakh. The shopping budget? That's a discussion for another time!”

Example of Travel on a Budget

Charmy’s experience is a testament to the fact that international trips can be achieved on a limited budget. By booking several elements in advance and combining hotel stays with Airbnb rentals along with using public transport instead of taxis, she effectively minimized costs.

Her video has inspired numerous followers to consider budget-friendly excursions. “Save this and start planning your upcoming trip to Japan,” she advised in her post.

Motivating Fellow Adventurers

Many viewers expressed gratitude towards Charmy for outlining her actual expenses and realistic pricing. Several commented that they had longed to visit Japan but perceived it as too pricey. Others requested her itinerary to better structure their travels.

Japan is well-known for its vibrant culture, mouth-watering cuisine, pristine cities, and reliable public transport. With Charmy’s exemplary experience, more Indian travelers now realize that a journey to Japan doesn’t have to be reserved for those with large budgets.

Her insights motivate not just leisure travelers but anyone anxious about travel costs. Charmy’s journey in Japan illustrates how strategic planning and resourcefulness can help realize one’s travel dreams affordably and memorably.
