Salt Lake City, Utah:
A tragic shooting at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints venue in Salt Lake City has resulted in two fatalities and several injuries, as reported by local law enforcement.
The Salt Lake City Police Department has stated that there are at least eight victims. Two individuals succumbed to their injuries, while the others have been transported to nearby medical facilities for care. Their conditions have not been disclosed yet.
Officials confirmed that at least one suspect fled the scene after the shooting. Authorities are actively searching for the suspect and have urged the public to stay vigilant and report any relevant information.
Law enforcement arrived swiftly and secured the area. An investigation is underway to uncover the reasons behind the attack and the circumstances leading to the shooting.
