Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath Involved in Baghpat Investment Scam

Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath Involved in Baghpat Investment Scam

Post by : Meena Ariff

Bollywood actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath, along with 22 others, are under investigation in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, for alleged fraud involving the Loni Urban Multi-State Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society. The pair served as brand ambassadors for the society. The complaint, lodged by local resident Babli, claims the group raised substantial funds from villagers by falsely promising high returns.

Reports indicate that the accused managed ‘The Loni Urban Multistate Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society Limited,’ enticing investors with claims that their investments would double swiftly. After a significant amount of money was collected, the company reportedly halted operations and vanished. Several FIRs have been registered concerning this alleged scam.

Earlier in July, Shreyas Talpade was granted interim protection from arrest by the Supreme Court. Both he and Alok Nath were previously linked to a similar multi-level marketing fraud case in Sonipat, Haryana, alongside 11 others.

On the professional side, Shreyas Talpade is slated to star in the romantic drama Single Salma, alongside Huma Qureshi and Sunny Singh, set to release on October 31. Alok Nath continues to be a noteworthy figure in Bollywood, celebrated for his iconic ‘Babuji’ roles over the years.
