His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has arrived in Bahrain to participate in the 46th GCC Summit, a significant occasion for regional unity. His visit symbolizes the robust ties between Oman and Bahrain, reinforcing their shared dedication to enhancing cooperation among Gulf states.

Upon arrival at Sakhir Air Base, Sultan Haitham was met with a warm and respectful reception. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister and Crown Prince of Bahrain, was there to welcome His Majesty and his entourage. This cordial greeting emphasizes the mutual trust and camaraderie between their nations.

Following his arrival, the Sultan passed through a guard of honor consisting of the Royal Bahraini Guard, signifying Bahrain's respect for his presence at this key regional event.

After the honors were given, His Majesty met with several high-ranking officials who had gathered to receive him, including Jassim bin Mohammed Al Bedaiwi, the GCC Secretary General; Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Ma'awda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments; Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Information; Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate; Sayyid Faisal bin Harib Al Busaidi, Oman’s Ambassador; and Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Oman, along with several senior military officers.

In a reciprocal gesture, Prince Salman also took the time to greet members of the Sultan's delegation, showcasing the respect that underpins their relationship.

After the welcome ceremony, Prince Salman escorted His Majesty to a reception hall, where he warmly reiterated that Bahrain is the Sultan’s “second home.” This sentiment reflects the genuine warmth of Bahrain toward Oman.

The Sultan expressed profound gratitude for the heartfelt welcome and thoughtful preparations made for his arrival, signifying Oman's strong bond with Bahrain and the mutual desire to foster Gulf cooperation.

Subsequently, His Majesty and the Crown Prince proceeded to Sakhir Palace, designated as the Sultan’s temporary residence during his stay. This visit marks the beginning of his participation in the 46th GCC Summit, where vital discussions on regional stability, cooperation, and progress are anticipated.

This trip further illustrates the enduring relationship between Oman and Bahrain, and the ongoing commitment by Gulf leaders to boost unity, achieve common goals, and fortify the future of the GCC. With His Majesty's presence, Oman continues to play an integral role in shaping regional dialogue.
