Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, received US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff alongside Jared Kushner during their visit to the UAE. The discussions centered around the latest developments related to the ceasefire in Gaza, assessing ongoing efforts to cement the agreement established via US President Donald Trump’s plan.
The UAE leader acknowledged the crucial role played by the US President in the push to resolve the Gaza conflict. He underscored the significant contributions from Witkoff and Kushner in advancing peace initiatives, labeling their collective endeavor as essential for fostering regional stability and safeguarding civilian lives amid persisting tensions.
Throughout the discussions, Sheikh Tahnoon stressed the urgent need to prevent further hostilities and to cultivate scenarios that favor enduring peace.
