His Excellency Lee Jae-myung, the President of the Republic of Korea, has landed in the United Arab Emirates today for an official state visit. This occasion marks a pivotal step towards strengthening relations between Korea and the UAE, focusing on trade, technology, cultural exchange, and diplomacy.

As President Lee's aircraft entered UAE airspace, it received a distinguished military escort. A squadron of UAE fighter jets accompanied the plane to the Presidential Flight in Abu Dhabi. The squadron leader sought President Lee's permission to undertake this escort as a formal gesture of respect and welcome. This impressive aerial tribute underscored the strong partnership and cooperation shared by the two countries.

Upon his arrival at the Presidential Flight, President Lee Jae-myung was greeted warmly by senior UAE officials. Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, led the honorary delegation welcoming the Korean President. He was accompanied by Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, and Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State, among others. The UAE Ambassador to Korea, Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, was also present along with various officials.

The formal reception was characterized by protocols reflecting the significance of this state visit. President Lee Jae-myung’s engagement with the UAE is anticipated to center on furthering bilateral relations, seeking new avenues for economic collaboration, and enhancing cultural exchanges. Both nations are recognized for their rapid economic advancements and technological innovation, making such high-level visits crucial for fostering greater cooperation.
