UAE Engages with Zambian Ambassador to Boost Bilateral Relations

Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, received the credentials of Nkombo Muuka, the newly appointed Ambassador of Zambia to the UAE. This ceremony marked the formal beginning of Ambassador Muuka’s mission in the country.

During their meeting, Alshamsi extended his welcome to Ambassador Muuka, wishing him success in his diplomatic role. He emphasized the UAE’s dedication to strengthening relations with Zambia across diverse sectors, showcasing the importance placed on partnerships in Africa.

Ambassador Muuka praised the UAE's prominent position both regionally and globally, acknowledging the nation’s achievements under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He noted the UAE’s growing influence in global diplomacy, economic progress, and sustainability initiatives.

The longstanding friendship between the UAE and Zambia encompasses political, economic, cultural, and developmental areas. Both countries are eager to fortify their collaborative efforts to benefit their populations and ensure sustainable advancement.

Plans are in place to bolster cooperation in trade, investment, education, renewable energy, and additional domains. The UAE has been a committed partner in Zambia’s development goals, while Zambian authorities are enthusiastic about exploring trade and investment prospects in the UAE and the broader Gulf region.

The UAE regards Zambia as a significant ally in Africa with expansive potential for trade and joint initiatives. Strengthening these bilateral relations is essential for achieving both nations' long-term aspirations in economic diversification, sustainable development, and regional collaboration.

Ambassador Muuka’s appointment is poised to infuse new energy and innovative perspectives into the UAE-Zambia relationship. His responsibilities will include promoting diplomatic interactions, enhancing economic ties, fostering cultural exchanges, and facilitating better understanding between the two countries.
