Introducing Google's Nano Banana Pro: The Future of AI Image Creation

Introducing Google's Nano Banana Pro: The Future of AI Image Creation

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Google has rolled out Nano Banana Pro, an innovative image creation and editing model based on Gemini 3 Pro, offering enhanced reasoning capabilities, expansive real-world knowledge, and improved visual accuracy. This upgraded version builds on the previous Nano Banana, providing users with tools to convert concepts, notes, prototypes, and even current information into stunning visuals.

Beyond simple images, Nano Banana Pro enables users to produce infographics, diagrams, recipes, and images from Google’s extensive data pool. Notably, it enhances text rendering within images, ensuring clarity across diverse languages, accommodating longer text, stylish fonts, and localized content.

A key improvement includes the model's ability to combine multiple elements effectively. Users can blend up to 14 images while preserving the resemblance of up to five individuals. Additionally, new user controls allow for modifications in lighting, camera perspectives, depth-of-field, and targeted editing. Export options are available in various resolutions and formats, such as 2K and 4K.

Currently, Nano Banana Pro is being launched on Google’s consumer and professional platforms. In the Gemini app, it's found under the ‘Thinking’ section for image generation. While free-tier users will have limited functionality, AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers benefit from increased quotas. In the Google Search AI Mode, AI Pro and Ultra users in the US can access it.

For business applications, the tool will be incorporated into Google Ads, as well as Workspace tools like Slides and Vids, plus Flow for filmmaking tasks. Developers can utilize it through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Antigravity, and Vertex AI.

With a focus on transparency, all images generated by Google AI tools will continue to display SynthID watermarking, enabling users to verify if an image is AI-generated. Free and Pro users will see a Gemini watermark, while Ultra subscribers and AI Studio developers will not.

Through these enhancements, Google aims to establish Nano Banana Pro as more than just an image generator; it's a comprehensive tool for content creation that merges advanced AI reasoning with creative flexibility, all while promoting transparency in AI-generated outputs.
