Experts Predict Stable Scores for Vietnam 2026 Exams

Experts Predict Stable Scores for Vietnam 2026 Exams

Post by : Shakul

Education experts in Vietnam believe the overall score distribution for the 2026 high school graduation examination will remain largely similar to last year. They say the exam structure and question pattern have not changed significantly, making major fluctuations in national scores unlikely.

Mathematics Scores May Improve Slightly

Experts predict that most Mathematics scores will fall between 5 and 7 points, with the national average expected to range from 5.8 to 6.2. Teachers said the paper focused on both basic concepts and practical problem-solving, allowing average students to secure passing marks while still challenging top performers.

Literature and History Expected to Perform Well

Teachers expect Literature to remain one of the highest-scoring subjects, with most students likely scoring between 7.5 and 8.5 points. History is also expected to show a slight improvement, with the average score predicted between 6.5 and 7 points due to a balanced mix of basic and analytical questions.

Chemistry May See a Slight Decline

Education experts believe Chemistry could record a small drop in average scores compared to 2025. They said the paper placed greater emphasis on practical applications, experiments and interdisciplinary thinking, requiring students to apply knowledge rather than rely only on memorization.

English Scores Likely to Remain Stable

According to teachers, English exam scores are expected to be concentrated around 5.5 to 6 points. Many students found this year's paper more manageable after preparing with lessons learned from the previous examination.

University Admission Scores May Stay Similar

Experts believe that because the overall score distribution is expected to remain stable, university admission cut-off marks are also unlikely to change significantly. Major changes would only occur if universities revise admission quotas or modify their selection methods.
