Vietnam Military Medical Dept Gets Hero Honor

Post by : Shakul

The Military Medical Department of Vietnam has been awarded the prestigious title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces during a grand ceremony held in Hanoi. The event also marked the 80th anniversary of the military medical sector, celebrating its long-standing contributions to the nation.

The ceremony was attended by Phan Van Giang, who presented the honor on behalf of the President of Vietnam. The award recognizes the department’s exceptional achievements in training, combat readiness, healthcare services, and national defense.

Speaking at the event, General Phan Van Giang praised generations of military doctors, officers, and personnel for their dedication and sacrifices. He highlighted their critical role in supporting soldiers during wartime and contributing to the country’s major victories.

Throughout Vietnam’s history, military medical forces have played a vital role in providing emergency care, treatment, and evacuation for millions of wounded soldiers. Thousands of field hospitals and medical units ensured timely assistance, helping troops return to the battlefield.

The department has also been instrumental in strengthening the overall health and readiness of the armed forces. Its contributions extend beyond war, including disaster response, disease control, and cooperation between military and civilian healthcare systems.

Looking ahead, the leadership emphasized the need to modernize military medical services, enhance preventive healthcare systems, and adopt advanced technologies. The department is expected to play a key role in addressing both traditional and non-traditional security challenges.

The recognition reflects not only past achievements but also the continued commitment of Vietnam’s military medical sector to safeguarding the health of soldiers and contributing to national development and security.
