Vietnam, Morocco Mark 65 Years of Diplomatic Friendship

Post by : Shakul

Vietnam and Morocco commemorated the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations with a series of cultural and scientific activities held in Rabat, the capital of Morocco. The events were jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Historical Site, the Vietnamese Embassy in Morocco, and Morocco's High Commission for Former Resistance Fighters and Former Members of the Liberation Army.

The celebrations also marked the 115th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek a path for Vietnam's national liberation, highlighting his enduring legacy of peace, independence and international friendship.

Tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Le Thi Phuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Historical Site, emphasized that relations between Vietnam and Morocco have been built on solidarity, mutual respect and shared aspirations for freedom and independence.

She noted that President Ho Chi Minh's life and achievements continue to inspire nations through his commitment to peace, friendship and cooperation among peoples around the world.

Exhibition Highlights Ho Chi Minh's Legacy

A major highlight of the program was the exhibition titled "President Ho Chi Minh – Symbol of Peace and International Friendship." The exhibition presented the Vietnamese leader as a national liberation hero and an outstanding cultural figure dedicated to building a peaceful and just world.

The display featured three sections covering Ho Chi Minh's journey for national liberation, his efforts to strengthen international friendships, and Vietnam's continued commitment to peace based on his legacy.

Conference Reviews Bilateral Achievements

A scientific conference on Vietnam-Morocco diplomatic relations was also organized as part of the celebrations. Scholars, diplomats and officials reviewed the development of bilateral ties since diplomatic relations were established on March 27, 1961.

Participants highlighted decades of cooperation, high-level visits and agreements that have strengthened relations between the two countries despite their geographical distance.

Book Collection Presented to Moroccan Institution

During the event, the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Historical Site presented a special "Ho Chi Minh Book Collection" to Morocco's High Commission for Former Resistance Fighters and Former Members of the Liberation Army.

The collection includes books and documents detailing the life, ideology and diplomatic contributions of President Ho Chi Minh. Organizers said the initiative would help deepen understanding of Vietnam's history and Ho Chi Minh's role in promoting international friendship.

Strengthening Cultural and Diplomatic Ties

Officials said the activities were designed not only to honor President Ho Chi Minh but also to celebrate the values of peace, independence and cooperation that continue to guide relations between Vietnam and Morocco.

The events also served as a cultural bridge connecting the Vietnamese community living and working in Morocco with their homeland and national heritage.

Looking Toward Future Cooperation

As Vietnam and Morocco mark 65 years of diplomatic relations, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation and strengthening people-to-people exchanges.

The anniversary celebrations reflected the strong foundation of trust and friendship that continues to support bilateral relations and future partnerships between the two nations.
