Delhi Police IN Kapil Sharma Cafe Shoot Linked to Bishnoi Gang

Delhi Police IN Kapil Sharma Cafe Shoot Linked to Bishnoi Gang

Post by : Rameen Ariff

In a major breakthrough, Delhi Police have identified the two shooters involved in multiple attacks on actor-comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Canada. The shooters, Sharry, also known as Gurjot, and Daljot Rehal, are reportedly connected to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The investigation gained momentum during the questioning of Bandhu Maan Singh Sekhon, arrested by Delhi Police last month in connection with the shootings outside Sharma’s Kap’s Cafe in Surrey, Canada. Singh is alleged to have provided weapons and logistical support to Sharry and Daljot, who carried out the attacks on at least three occasions since the cafe opened in July 2025.

Kap’s Cafe, launched in British Columbia by Kapil Sharma in July, became a target of sophisticated attacks on July 10, August 7, and October 16. Police sources stated that Singh supplied weapons and a vehicle to Goldy Dhillon, a close associate of the Bishnoi gang, following instructions from gangster Sonu Khatri, also known as Rajesh. Khatri’s cousins, Sharry and Daljot, executed the shootings under the orders of another alleged gangster named Seepu.

Delhi Police have further revealed a cross-border connection. Bandhu Maan Singh is reportedly associated with Pakistan-based gangster Harry Chatha, who has been linked to weapons smuggling into India. Sources said Chatha operates with guidance from Pakistan’s intelligence agency, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and Singh facilitated the smuggling of weapon consignments from Pakistan to India. Singh had arrived in India from Canada on August 23 and was arrested in Ludhiana in late November.

The shooters’ identities and their links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have intensified the probe. Central agencies are now collaborating with Canadian authorities to locate and apprehend those involved. The repeated attacks on Kap’s Cafe created panic among patrons and staff, raising serious concerns about international criminal networks targeting high-profile establishments.

During the first attack on July 10, at least ten rounds were fired at the cafe, endangering employees inside. The second attack on August 28 involved over 25 shots, accompanied by threats indicating further action in Mumbai if demands were not met. Security measures for Kapil Sharma were heightened following the second incident. The latest attack on October 16 showed a man firing at least twelve shots from a moving vehicle, highlighting the continuing risk and boldness of the perpetrators.

The ongoing investigation emphasizes the growing reach of organized crime across borders, linking local gangs in India with international networks and cross-border smuggling. Authorities are working diligently to bring the shooters and masterminds to justice while ensuring the safety of high-profile public spaces.
