Renowned musician Raghu Dixit recently celebrated his marriage to 34-year-old flutist and music educator Varijashree Venugopal. The couple exchanged vows on October 14, 2025, during a private ceremony that quickly captured the attention of social media.

On October 25, Raghu took to Instagram to share a heartfelt photo with his new wife, captioning, “To Joy and Togetherness! We are thankful to begin this new journey with our family’s and friends’ blessings. Love and Light Vari & Ragh.”

Their romantic journey blossomed from a strong friendship into a deep love, ultimately leading to this wonderful union.

The wedding featured numerous celebrity attendees, including actress Yamuna Srinidhi, who shared her views on the extravagant event. Raghu looked stylish in a yellow-toned vesthi adorned with maroon borders, while Varijashree shone in an orange saree complemented by a blue blouse and traditional jewelry. Photos of the couple performing wedding rituals emanated love and happiness, and close friends like Ayyo Shraddha were also present.

Earlier in February 2025, Raghu celebrated Varijashree’s Grammy nomination on social media, expressing pride in their evolving relationship.

Raghu had previously married choreographer Mayuri Upadhyay in 2005, but the couple lived separately from 2016 before finalizing their divorce in 2019. While Raghu kept the reasons private, he acknowledged his struggle to fulfill his role as a husband despite Mayuri’s support.

During this time, Raghu faced allegations from Chinmayi Sripada, unrelated to his divorce, and Mayuri advocated for accountability in those matters. Raghu stated, “I am divorcing my wife. We haven't been together for three years, and we are nearing the end of that process. She’s a great person, but I couldn’t be the husband she deserved.”
