In a significant move directed by the UAE leadership, Abu Dhabi has rolled out its third housing benefits initiative for 2025, allocating AED4 billion to assist 3,310 citizens throughout the emirate. This fresh funding, coinciding with the 54th Eid Al Etihad, continues the government's effort to foster family stability, promote home ownership, and elevate the living standards of Emiratis.
The initiative encompasses AED2.27 billion in housing loans aimed at 1,768 beneficiaries and includes AED1.51 billion for housing grants and ready-to-move homes. Additionally, it provides loan repayment waivers for low-income seniors, retirees, and families of deceased individuals. Citizens enrolled in the Emirati Family Growth scheme will also benefit, receiving housing loan reductions totaling AED208 million, providing aid to 204 applicants.
With this announcement, the cumulative housing support allocated to Abu Dhabi citizens in 2025 has reached AED15.384 billion, benefiting 10,718 individuals so far this year. This total comprises AED11.766 billion in housing loans, AED3.1 billion in land and ready-home grants, along with AED514.75 million in exemptions and reductions for qualifying families.
Since its inception, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has facilitated over 129,448 housing benefits, amounting to approximately AED177.57 billion. The ongoing execution of these housing packages illustrates the leadership's enduring vision to provide dignified, stable, and sustainable living environments for Emirati families, in line with the emirate's broader developmental objectives.
The timing of this latest initiative amplifies its national importance, resonating with the values of unity and progress celebrated during Eid Al Etihad, while reaffirming the nation’s commitment to uplifting citizens through effective and lasting housing support.
